I · Manifesto
Manchester did not make the jacket.
Not alone.
The city left its mark in quieter ways.
Rain sealed into brick. Streetlight caught in black leather. The feeling, after midnight, that the dark had noticed you first.
INCARNATE began there. In the narrow space between the body and the night. Between the person you were and the figure approaching in the glass.
A jacket is a threshold you wear. You pull it over your shoulders and something changes. The weight settles. The edges sharpen. Your reflection looks familiar, but no longer harmless.
The world remains exactly as it was. It is the world that begins to look at you differently.
